Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger!

Founded in 2024, Anson Youth Tackle Football and Cheer (AYTFC) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing the children of Anson, Texas, and the surrounding area with a safe, competitive, and character-building youth football and cheer experience from Pre-K through 6th grade.

A full member of the West Texas Rural Youth Football and Cheer League (WTRYFCL), AYTFC fields flag and tackle football teams as well as sideline cheer squads that compete against neighboring programs including Clyde, Jim Ned, Early, Merkel, Hawley, Winters, and Colorado City.

Official Identity
- **Colors**: Red and Black
- **Mascot**: Tiger
- **Official Logo**: A dynamic circular design showing a snarling red-and-black tiger bursting through a football, surrounded by a white cheer megaphone bearing a black “A T” and tiger paw, red pom-poms, and a paint-splat background. Curved text reads “ANSON YOUTH TACKLE FOOTBALL AND CHEER” with the word “TIGERS” boldly centered.

2025 Season in Review:

- 112 total athletes (66 football players, 46 cheerleaders)

- PeeWee made it to Division II Championship game

- Mighty Mites claimed the Division II Championship and Super Bowl Title!

- PeeWee football and cheer squad performed on the field at AT&T Stadium (Dallas Red Zone event, Nov 30, 2025), made possible by lead sponsor Arteriors Landscape

AYTFC operates completely separately from Anson ISD athletics, relying on community donations, local business sponsorships, and fundraising campaigns to keep registration affordable and equipment up to current safety standards.

As the program heads into its third year, the focus remains simple: teach the fundamentals of football and cheer, instill discipline and teamwork, and give Anson’s youngest Tigers a place to roar!
